Julien Baker releases her sophomore record Turn Out the Lights next month, and ahead of its arrival, she's shared a video for lead single "Appointments."

The Memphis-born singer-songwriter previously shared the audio version of the track, but has now paired it with visuals by director Sophia Peer.

The remaining contributors to the clip serve as a testament to the thriving creative industry in Baker's hometown, with choreographer Christina McKinney, dancers and some of the crew members also hailing from Memphis. Naturally, it was shot there and features places that capture the city's essence.

"Making the 'Appointments' video was an incredibly special experience because I got the pleasure of collaborating with artists I admire and to see them apply their creativity and talent to something I made," Baker said in a statement. "I've known Christina McKinney, as well as a few of the dancers, since I was a kid. I've always been fascinated with how that art form works in tandem with music; it was amazing to see the vision that Christina had for the song, how she interpreted the sounds as movement, and then to see how Sophia chose to portray and capture it all."

Turn Out the Lights is out on October 27 via Matador, and you can see her upcoming tour dates here. Watch the video for "Appointments" below.
