Julie Doiron just released her latest record, I Thought of You in November of last year, but today she's announced a brand new one with her partner Dany Placard. Julie & Dany was recorded in the pair's New Brunswick home during lockdown, and it's arriving April 29 on Simone Records.
They've also shared the record's grungy, French-sung first single "Mayo." In a statement about the track, Doiron said:
"'Mayo' is a day like many days in our little house in New Brunswick. And while it seems we are just singing of things like mayonnaise and carottes, we are mostly singing of the ups and downs and all the moments in between."
"Mayo" comes attached to a Sylvain Dumas-directed video, and you can check it out below.
