Jucifer Return with 'за волгой для нас земли нет'

Earlier this summer, metal duo Jucifer delivered CD and digital copies of their new за волгой для нас земли нет (There Is No Land Beyond the Volga) album via Mutants of the Monster/Nomadic  Fortress, but vinyl hounds can look forward to a double-LP release arriving October 1 via Alternative Tentacles.

A press release for the set explains that Jucifer's latest is a concept album that "tells the history of Volgograd (formerly Stalingrad) from the perspective of its people, its soldiers, its children and the very land itself."

It further promises to cover "a history of armies, great battles, many deaths, iconic leaders and the followers loyal." The album title is apparently a quote from a Russian soldier that took part in the Battle of Stalingrad.

Sonically, the LP is described as a "sludge-rock landscape" of Black Sabbath-worshipping riffs and vicious rhythms that roll out "as slow and painful as the Russian winters these arcane volume addicts are singing about."

You can get a small sample of the feedback-driven work in the dialogue-heavy trailer down below.

за волгой для нас земли нет is Jucifer's first full-length studio effort since 2010's Throned In Blood.
