John Lennon's Complete Solo Recordings Collected in Vinyl Box Set

BY Josiah HughesPublished Apr 21, 2015

Beatles legend John Lennon enjoyed a lengthy, acclaimed solo career before his death in 1980. Now, all eight of his solo studio albums will be compiled in one convenient vinyl box set.

Simply called Lennon, the set comprises nine 180-gram LPs. The packaging for each Lennon album is faithful to its original, while the recordings were remastered from Lennon's original mixes in 2010.

These mixes were previously available on the John Lennon Signature Box CD set, but this marks the first time that the artist's complete studio recordings are available on vinyl. Aside from Imagine and Rock 'n' Roll, which were recently reissued, the albums Some Time in New York City, Walls and Bridges, Mind Games, Double Fantasy, and Milk and Honey are currently out of print.

The Lennon box set will be available on June 9 via Capitol/UMe. The albums will also be reissued in stand-alone versions on August 21.
