London-based duo Jockstrap — that's Taylor Skye and Black Country, New Road violinist Georgia Ellery — have announced their debut full-length I Love You Jennifer B, arriving September 9 on Rough Trade.
And alongside the announcement, the art-pop duo has also shared the video for their beautiful, ascendent new single "Glasgow." The new song — which follows previously-shared singles "50/50" and "Concrete over Water" finds Jockstrap in a gentler and slightly more traditional mode, as Ellery sings of a love on the move over acoustic strums, weeping strings and bubbly percussion.
About the song, Sky said, "'Glasgow' is our coming of age, moving forward, long-distance, travelling, beautiful bosk, wonderful thicket song." Ellery said of the song, "Glasgow is a great city, perhaps my favourite in the UK. Only downside is that it's so damn cold all the time."
The duo has also announced an upcoming fall/winter tour in support of the new record, where they'll be hitting up Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver this November and December.
