The nominees were announced back in October, and now the official 2015 inductees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have been announced.

The class of 2015 includes Green Day, Lou Reed, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Bill Withers and the Paul Butterfield Blues Band.

That means nominees the Smiths, Nine Inch Nails, Chic, N.W.A., Sting and Kraftwerk didn't make the cut, despite being nominated.

The organization will also dole out an Award of Excellence to Ringo Starr, as well as an Early Influence Award to the "5" Royales.

The induction ceremony will take place on April 18 at Cleveland's Public House and then be broadcasted on HBO in May.
