JJ Sign with Secretly Canadian, Ready New LP for Spring Release

BY Josiah HughesPublished Dec 24, 2009

Following the breakthrough success of the Exclaim!-approved album nº 2 earlier this year, Swedish pop geniuses JJ have revealed that they'll be releasing their third effort this spring and they'll be doing so with the help of a new label. Simply titled nº 3, the album will be their first with indie powerhouse Secretly Canadian, who will release the record on March 9 in North America.

Little is known about nº 3, although we do know that the band's Swedish label Sincerely Yours will also be helping with its release. Secretly Canadian have posted the band's Lil Wayne-sampling "Ecstasy", a stand-out from nº 2, as a promo track.

The band will also surround the album with a large North American tour in support of UK hype machine the XX. That trek will include stops in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
