I To The Sky

BY Cam LindsayPublished Mar 1, 2003

Once beloved by the UK press, interest in JJ72 has been dumped like Mariah Carey from a record label. I To Sky, their "difficult" second album, is much of the same as the first, (which was actually quite good). Mark Greaney still uses that nasally, effeminate teenage whine to sing with, but the songs just aren't as good as the earlier material. The Joy Division and Smashing Pumpkins worship is still in tow, and singles "Formulae" and "Always And Forever" aren't half bad, but there's a reason why they were the singles.
