Newfound uke hater and Australian resident Jens Lekman has announced he's paying North America another visit. This spring, the Swede will play a series of "smaller, intimate venues" on the American West coast and touch down in Canada for his first Vancouver show ever on June 7.
Along for the ride will be comedienne Tig Notaro, who will provide some opening laughs on Lekman's tour. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that any new items will be up for grabs at the merch table. The only new Lekman recording we've had any word of recently is a contribution to the forthcoming Merge Records covers comp, which, as previously reported, finds him pairing up with Everything but the Girl's Tracey Thorn on a cover of Magnetic Fields' "Yeah! Oh, Yeah!"
Here are the upcoming tour dates announced so far, with Lekman saying additional shows in Vancouver and possibly Alaska are to be confirmed shortly:
