Jenn Grant Collaborates with Buck 65, Covers Leonard Cohen on 'Clairvoyant' EP

BY Alex HudsonPublished Apr 25, 2014

Canadian songwriter Jenn Grant will be playing some shows in Europe this spring, and when she heads across the pond, she'll bring a new EP containing an assortment of material. Clairvoyant will be out on May 9.

It will be available on CD in Europe and through Grant's Bandcamp page elsewhere. It includes six tracks. Two of these are previously released songs from her side-project AquaAlta. There's also a collaboration with Buck 65 called "Spades," a new tune called "No One's Gonna Love You (Quite Like I Do)," a cover of Leonard Cohen's "Lover Lover Lover," and a new rendition of Grant's "I've Got Your Fire" from 2012's The Beautiful Wild.

The tracklist is below. Scroll past that to hear the Buck 65-featuring "Spades," which pairs folksy strumming and soft vocals with a slow hip-hop beat. Buck 65 takes over the mic during the song's middle section, delivering some half-sung rapping.

Also below, watch a low-key black and white video for the cover of "Lover Lover Lover."

Clairvoyant:

1. Epic Sweep (AquaAlta)
2. Spades (ft. Buck 65)
3. I've Got Your Fire (2014 Version)
4. Lover Lover Lover (Leonard Cohen cover)
5. Norwegian Jewel (AquaAlta)
6. No One's Gonna Love You (Quite Like I Do)
