Jamie xx's In Colour is Exclaim!'s second favourite album of the year so far, and we can now hear one of the LP's most memorable songs in a new light thanks to remix of "Loud Places" by John Talabot.
As with the original version of the tune, the remix prominently features moody lead vocals from The xx's Romy Madley-Croft. Beyond that, however, the arrangement gets a fairly dramatic overhaul, as the quiet verses and soulful choruses are replaced by a peaceful, blippy dance groove.
