James Pants Pushes Back New Album, Makes Up for It With Tyler, the Creator Remix

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Apr 7, 2011

Since it was announced back in January, we've been excited for James Pants' new self-titled, purportedly '90s-keyboard-driven new age record, which was set to drop later this month. There's only one problem: the set has now been pushed back a couple of weeks.

But while a press release from Pants' label, Stones Throw, confirms that the album's originally scheduled due date of April 19 has been switched to May 3, the artist has given us a little gem to say, "sorry for the delay." To tide us over until early May, Pants has offered up a remix of Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All leader Tyler, the Creator's "Seven," which you can download or stream below.

"James Is hands Down One Of The most Creative Fucking People To Walk This Earth," Tyler said of Pants in a statement. "Every Album Sounds Totally Different, And That Influences The Fuck Out Of Me"

Coming from one of the internet's weirdest hip-hop artists, that's some high praise, for sure.
