James Blake and Chance the Rapper Teaming Up for More Collaborations

BY Alex HudsonPublished Sep 19, 2013

Just yesterday (September 18), we heard a Chance the Rapper-aided remix of James Blake's track "Life Round Here." It turns out that this is just the tip of the iceberg as far as collaborations between these two are concerned, since they've apparently got plenty more team-ups in the works.

Chance told XXL that the pair met at SXSW when Blake came to one of Chance's shows. After that, they remained in touch and have since recorded some tracks, including original material. There's also a second version of the "Life Round Here" remix that may soon see the light of day.

"I love his records," Chance said of Blake. "So to do another version of one of his songs that I felt was already completed was... you know... you don't wanna fuck somebody's shit up. I jumped on it and people seem to like it a lot. But I'm really excited for our other shit too."

There's no indication as to when or how the rest of the material will come out. In the meantime, hear the currently available version of "Life Round Here" below.
