James Blake

"A Case of You" (Joni Mitchell cover)

It seems that British R&B crooner James Blake has a penchant for Canadian female singer-songwriters. We've already heard his cover of Feist's "Limit to Your Love," and now he's offered up a take on Joni Mitchell's classic "A Case of You."

The song is the perfect showcase for Blake's silky voice and nimble piano playing, embellishing Joni's original with breathy vocal runs and tinkling keys. And, of course, it's always nice to hear Blake singing about drawing a map of Canada.

The track was performed live on Zane Lowe's show on BBC Radio 1. Listen in the clip embedded below.

Also, feel free to check out review of Blake's new self-titled LP, which came out earlier this week.
