Jack White's Helium Balloon Singles Start Landing and Head Straight to eBay

It's hard to believe what anyone says on April Fool's Day, which is why no one could be blamed for doubting Jack White's announcement on April 1 that he'd be releasing 1,000 vinyl singles of the new track "Freedom at 21" via helium balloons. But now we have concrete proof that's exactly what he did.

AUX points to a Spin story discussing the whereabouts of the singles. The Third Man Records tracker has demonstrated that some records have ended up in Alabama, while some have ended up on eBay, like this record that is currently nearing the $2,000 mark in bids.

Then there's this guy, who is undoubtedly now the coolest grandpa on the block with his copy of the "Freedom at 21" single. We're guessing he has no fucking clue how to rip the vinyl to MP3 for us, but we'll all get to hear the song when Jack White's Blunderbuss drops on April 23 via Third Man.
