The inevitable has finally happened: insanely prolific Third Man Records guru Jack White has announced his debut solo LP. Titled Blunderbuss, it's due out April 24 via Third Man/Columbia/XL.

A statement on the Third Man website reads:

We at Third Man Records are very excited and proud to announce, along with our partners Columbia and XL Recordings, Jack White's debut album Blunderbuss to be released on April 23/24.

Produced by White and recorded at his own Third Man Studio in Nashville,
Blunderbuss has been described by White as "an album I couldn't have released until now. I've put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas."

Well, there you have it. A self-produced album that, according to TwentyFourBit, includes guests like Seasick Steve, Chris Thile, and Ruby Amanfu.

The first single is called "Love Interruption" and it's due out on seven-inch vinyl on February 7, backed with the song "Machine Gun Silhouette." Pre-order a copy right here.

The single was unveiled today (January 30) at White's newly launched website. It will go up for sale digitally tonight at midnight EST/9 p.m. PST, and you can stream it below.
