Jack White Attends Baseball Game, Leaves for Raconteurs Show, Then Goes Back to the Game

He watched the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Washington Nationals in 14 innings

Despite sometimes looking a bit grumpy, Jack White actually loves baseball. And yesterday, he proved his commitment to the sport when he went to a baseball game, left to play a Raconteurs show, and then returned to the game before it was over.

The incident happened last night (August 17) in Washington, DC, where the hometown Nationals were playing the Milwaukee Brewers. As field reporter Ken Rosenthal pointed out, Jack White and co-frontman Brendan Benson attended the first three innings of the game before heading out to play a Raconteurs show at the Anthem.

After the show, the band apparently checked the score and discovered that the game was tied in extra innings. They then returned to the game for the 14th inning. It was a wild game, and the Brewers ended up winning 15-14.

The Raconteurs are still on tour in support of this year's Help Us Stranger, and they will be in Toronto on September 12. We'd like to point out that the Blue Jays will be in town that night playing a home game against the Boston Red Sox, so perhaps Jack will have time to stop by for a few innings.
