While Yasutaka Nakata is hardly a household name here in North America, the producer has earned a place among J-pop royalty in recent years thanks to his work with Perfume, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and his own Capsule project. For his latest track, though, he's enlisted a bit of overseas talent with the help of British pop star Charli XCX.

For the single "Crazy Crazy," Nakata has teamed up both Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and Charli XCX, who trade verses in perfect synch as the producer lays out a ear-worming soundscape that's very much in line with hook-heavy M.O. In fact, the song recalls Nakata's work on Perfume's most recent album, 2016's stellar Cosmic Explorer.

Down below, you can dig into the bit of J-pop perfect, along with a remix.

Commemorating the "SPECIAL DJ X LIVE ZEPP TOUR 2016," "Crazy Crazy" appears on Nakata's newly released EP of the same name. It boasts four tracks in total and is out now via Warner Music Japan. You can order it in North America over here.
