With their new record, Vapours, set to drop via Anti- on September 22, forward-thinking Montreal pop collective Islands have announced that they'll be opening for the Psychedelic Furs and Happy Mondays on the Canadian portion of their previously announced reunion tour.
While it may be only two dates, it's pretty exciting news for those who can make it to either of the two shows, which take place at Toronto's Kool Haus on October 14 and Montreal's Metropolis on October 15.
Besides the tour announcement, Islands have also leaked a new song from their upcoming record. Titled "No You Don't," the keyboard-heavy track suggests a more straightforward pop direction from front-man Nick Diamonds, and you can check it our for yourself via a stream at CBC Radio 3 here or a download here.
