Islands Sign To Anti-

Montreal's Islands have officially signed to Anti- Records. The band, who rose from the ashes of the beloved lo-fi weirdoes the Unicorns, will release their second full-length album, Arm's Way, co-produced with Ryan Hadlock (Blonde Redhead, Stephen Malkmus), on May 20.

About the album, lead Island Nick Thorburn said: "After more than a year in the frozen pipes, we are beside ourselves (three times) to be presenting what we believe to be our finest work yet, on the finest label we could think of. It's been a long time coming, and it'll be a long time before it's gone."

The band will begin touring in March, playing two shows at SXSW before launching a full North American tour beginning in mid-April and continuing on into May, including an appearance at the festival of the year, Coachella. Canadian dates will be announced shortly.
