Calling it quits in the fall of 2004, Montreal’s the Unicorns broke the hearts of many indie-centric bloggers, but Islands are now here. Available on blog site Simple Mission, "Abominable Snow” proves not to be a carbon copy of the Unicorns’ eccentricities and instead treads more accessible yet psychedelic boundaries. Mixing hyper verses with spacey interludes, members Nicholas "Niel” Diamonds and J’aime Tambour have made a faithful comeback that any Unicorns fan will ride.
