Master illusionist and country music up-and-comer Orville Peck is teasing something mysterious online, hinting at the possibility of new music on the way tomorrow.

After teasing a potential new single during the last week, Peck shared a video confirming that he plans to share something called "Summertime" tomorrow (April 1) — also known as April Fool's Day. Today, the artist shared a snippet of new audio alongside a post that reads, "Summertime arrives tomorrow y'all. 12Est XOP."

It's completely possible that he really will share new music with his fans, seeing as he's been playing new material at his recent live performances and hasn't released anything new since his 2019 debut album Pony. But don't hold your breath — just in case it is some elaborate prank for April Fool's Day.

Here's something that definitely is happening: Peck has announced that he will be hosting a livestream this evening at 9 p.m. ET through his Instagram account. Tune in here tonight to watch.

UPDATE (4/1, 12:20 p.m. ET): It turns out the teasing was indeed for a new song called "Summertime." Watch a video for the newly shared track now.
