Arizona's experimental rap group Injury Reserve have released the second single from their upcoming sophomore album, By the Time I Get to Phoenix, out September 15.
"Superman That" is another glitched-out, off-kilter offering that clocks in at under three minutes. As is customary from Injury Reserve, it's a disorienting and skull-rattling swirl that sounds little like its possible namesake — speeding up, slowing down and tripping over itself as it goes.
The new single comes with a video courtesy of director Parker Corey.
"Superman That" follows first single "Knees." By the Time I Get to Phoenix was largely completed before the June 2020 death of rapper Stepa J. Groggs, and the record will feature his contributions.
