In Aeturnum

Past And Present Sins

BY Greg PrattPublished Mar 1, 2002

There's always a market for generic death metal and generic black metal, In Aeturnum have simply saved us all some time, combined the two and dished forth completely generic black/death metal. Too bad, because this yawn-fest starts off promisingly enough with "Cursed Legions," a competent if not lethargic walk through some scary Satanic metal, but from then on things just get worse. A lot worse, as this is a retrospective disc, offering us varying production sounds and levels of playing skill to further our annoyance. It's not totally horrible, and on a good day it may even be something you wouldn't want to violently rip out of your stereo, but in today's metal world this one is doomed to get lost in the pack.
