Indie R&B guy How to Dress Well (aka Tom Krell) recently cozied up to a handful of cities to give a sneak preview not only of his new backup band, but tracks off his forthcoming Total Loss album. With the record set to drop September 18 through Acephale, the soft-singing songsmith is getting ready for the real promotional grind, and has thus revealed a stacked fall tour schedule.
How to Dress Well's upcoming itinerary will have the act jet-setting big time this autumn. The trip kicks off with just over a week's worth of North American dates, including stops at Toronto's Great Hall on October 4 and Montreal's Club Lambi the next night, but they'll then hit up Europe until the beginning of November. It's unclear just what the act have lined up after that, but the press sheet promises West Coast dates will drop sometime soon.
In the meantime, Krell has unveiled another freebie download to promote Total Loss, but this time it's a non-album track. Down below you can stream and/or download How to Dress Well's cover of Janet Jackson's 1993 single "Again."
The downtempo, piano-imbued number will be available on a 7-inch single that will come packaged in a deluxe version of Total Loss. The miniature slab of wax will also feature an a cappella version of album track "Set It Right" and a cover of Robbie Basho's "Blue Crystal Fire."
