Holy Fuck's Brian Borcherdt and BB Guns' Laura Hermiston Launch Twist with New Video and Track

Brian Borcherdt already pulls double duty as a member of Holy Fuck and Dusted, and now the busy musician is working on another new project: Twist, his collaboration with Laura Hermiston of BB Guns, with whom he's shared a new music video.

The band have been operating quietly for a few months now, having met when Borcherdt approached BB Guns about producing their record. This led to a friendship and collaborative musical partnership, and the two ended up recording at a warehouse-turned-studio using a drum machine and lots of distortion.

A press release explains, "The outcome was lo-fi, ghostly, and grungy, but all with a hint of Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra."

Below, check out the atmospheric psych-folk number "Where to Lie," the video for which mixes crisp shots of Borcherdt and Hermiston with vintage home-movie footage.

Also below, watch a previously unveiled video for the eerie "S.A.D." and hear the slightly louder, more propulsive "Too Much Trouble."

Twist will play a Toronto gig on January 17 at the Silver Dollar Room. They plan to tour in 2014.
