Touring in support of their recent live album/DVD A Positive Rage, Brooklyn-based people's rockers the Hold Steady have announced a decent-sized Canadian tour this fall. Kicking off in Edmonton on September 21, the boys will head eastward, finishing in Toronto on September 27. Here's hoping they don't run into any weather issues if they plan to get that done in six days.
In case you missed it, the band were also featured in last month's Rolling Stone, in an ad for the new Top Chef Masters reality series. In the advertisement (which is another one of those dubious half-articles), the band talk about their excitement for the show, saying, "We can't wait to watch the show on the tour bus. It will make PB&J that much more shameful."
No word, though, if the Hold Steady will actually watch the show on these Canadian tour dates:
9/21 Edmonton, AB - Starlite Room
9/22 Calgary, AB - The Warehouse
9/23 Saskatoon, SK - Odeon Event Centre
9/24 Winnipeg, MB - West End Cultural Centre
9/27 Toronto, ON - Lee's Palace
