High Wolf Return with 'Atlas Nation'

Otherworldly French psych outfit High Wolf have unleashed intense amounts of droning, out-there sounds over various releases, including the aptly titled A Guide to Healing seven-inch. Now, they've put the finishing touches on their next LP.

The five-song release is called Atlas Nation, and a press release explains that the album "deepens High Wolf's penetration into the mystic. It evokes an uneasy peace with a new breed of tribal psychedelia shorn of all hokey signifiers."

Recorded after a long trip to India and Nepal, the album also draws mention of Alejandro Jodorowsky, Jon Hassell and Don Cherry (the jazz musician, not the hockey buff).

Atlas Nation will be available on October 25 as an LP or digital download via Holy Mountain. The album's tracklisting is available below and that's the cover above.

Atlas Nation:

 1. "Fuji Descent"
2. "The Dawn of Man"

3. "Raagini"

4. "Kenya Sunset"
5. "Haiti"
