As was to be expected, Toronto's Hidden Cameras have announced a North American fall tour to support their highly anticipated full-length release, Origin:Orphan, which will start on October 21 and run through December. What's more, they are offering fans who buy tickets online at Arts & Crafts a free digital download of their new five-track EP, In the NA.
As we told you earlier, Origin:Orphan was recorded in Berlin and in the band's hometown of Toronto, and apparently finds the group entering new territory. Known for their circus-like cabaret live shows and accompanying tunes, the Hidden Cameras have added some darker sounds on the new album to complement some of its more upbeat numbers, or at least that's according to press release.
And while their forthcoming North American live shows are surely not to be missed, nothing will ever quite compare to August of 2007, when the band played the halftime show at a stadium soccer match in Munich in front of over 100,000 rowdy footie fans. And, yeah, we just wish we could find footage!
