Hey Rosetta! followed 2011's Seeds with an acoustic EP earlier this year, and now the Atlantic Canadian orchestral rock troupe are capping off 2012 with another EP. This one is called A Cup of Kindness Yet, and it includes a few holiday-themed tunes. Before it officially arrives on November 19, you can stream the whole thing at Exclaim.ca.
The EP includes four songs. First is "Carry Me Home," a pop tune with deceptively glum lyrics inspired by cheap hotels, the loneliness of touring and being away from home on Christmas. Beyond that, "O Come O Come Emmanuel" is a chilly cover of a seasonal classic, "The First Snow" is a slow moving ballad with sweeping strings, and "New Year Song" builds to a sing-along interpolation of "Auld Lang Syne."
