Here's When the Next Nine Inch Nails EP Is Coming Out

"It's not what we expected it to be," says Trent Reznor

Making good on promises of an EP trilogy, Trent Reznor has revealed when we can expect our next mini-offering from Nine Inch Nails.

Speaking to BBC Radio 6, Reznor shed light on the next NIN EP, saying it would be arriving before the band kick off their overseas tour on June 22 at the Robert Smith-curated Meltdown Festival in London.

"We're in the process of finishing that right now and that should be out before the shows take place," Reznor said, adding, "It's not what we expected it to be."

So far, the EP does not have a name, but it will follow last year's ADD VIOLENCE and 2016's Not the Actual Events.

"We started out with a rigid concept, having not written them all. As we finished ADD VIOLENCE we found ourselves… it felt too predictable," Reznor said. "It felt like we were forcing things. Musically and storytelling-wise. The reason this has been delayed is because it took us a while for — what has become the third EP — to reveal itself to us."
