Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: TOPS, EARTH TO EMILY, Zach Zoya

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Jul 23, 2021

Here we go again! It's been an unusually long week, right? You deserve to treat yourself to something nice — may we offer you a nice playlist in this trying time?

This week, Scott Helman and Walk Off the Earth join forces on a sweet single called "You Give Me More," TOPS are ready to "Party Again," Smiley gets a Drake verse on "Over the Top" and Snotty Nose Rez Kids keep it in the family with Napoleon Dynamite-inspired "Uncle Rico."

Elsewhere in the top three, we have Toronto's EARTH TO EMILY — who sounds as if "Billie Eilish and Charlotte Day Wilson got stuck in an elevator with Frank Ocean" — and Montreal's R&B savant Zach Zoya. And did we mention there's a new DijahSB single?!

Highlights from this week's big album releases come courtesy of our current Exclaim! cover star Chiiild's Hope for Sale and July New Fave Erez Zobary's To Bloom.

New Faves alum Babygirl deliver a cover, putting their dreamy spin on the classic Sixpence None the Richer tune "Kiss Me," while the Weather Station does a stripped-down piano version of "Tried to Tell You." Alyson McNamara is treated to a remix by Yu Su — as is VISSIA by Moses Belanger — and a l l i e links up with Daniela Andrade on "DNA."

All that and plenty more are yours to discover with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
