Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: Leith Ross, Daniel Caesar, Afternoon Bike Ride

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Feb 10, 2023

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and it's safe to say these Canadian artists have us feeling the love with this week's batch of new releases.

Leith Ross would be better armed if you agreed to take it (swoon!) and Daniel Caesar captures the polar opposite sentiment on the soulful "Let Me Go," while Snotty Nose Rez Kids team up with Boogey the Beat to "Run for Cover" from heartache.

This week was huge for album releases, with hotly anticipated new records from Afternoon Bike Ride (Glossover), Andy Shauf, Birds of Bellwoods and Jill Barber, as well as the long-awaited debut EP from Winnipeg's FONTINE (Yarrow Lover).

Elsewhere, Dan Mangan gets remixed by Felix Cartal, Vivek Shraya gives the finger to detractors of so-called cancel culture and Harrison floats on. Edmonton's Verttigo make a splash with their debut single, Tinge are "Armed to the Teeth," Field Guide goes tape redux and Les Louanges returns "Sur la mélodie."

There's plenty to fall for on The Eh List! below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
