Hear the Week's Best New Canadian Music: Carly Rae Jepsen, Arcade Fire, JayWood

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished May 6, 2022

It's Carly Rae Jepsen's world and we're just living in it. (Or at least we'd like to be, because it's definitely spring there.)

The Queen of Everything finally returns with her new single this week and something in the Western wind has other artists at the top of their game with this week's crop of the best new Canadian music — including big new tracks from JayWood, Jasmyn and more.

This week in album releases, Arcade Fire lead the charge with their follow-up to Everything Now (WE). They've found themselves in good company, too: the week has also delivered new records from Pink Mountaintops (Peacock Pools), Ellevator (The Words You Spoke Still Move Me), Maryze, Keeper E. and Exclaim! New Faves alum Erez Zobary.

Elsewhere, Martha and the Muffins cover English Beat's "Save It for Later," Fortunate Ones get meditative with "Anchor," Ian Daniel Kehoe leans more sweet than sour and Patrick Holland previews his debut album with "Sinister Bell."

There's all that and much more in store with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken & Taters — all Canadian and proud of it!
