St. Vincent has been showing off her humorous side of late, dressing up as a toilet during a recent gig. Now, she's turned to a sitcom classic for the inspiration behind her latest recording.
The musician tweeted out her take on the Golden Girls' theme song "Thank You for Being a Friend." Putting her own dark twist on the tune, St. Vincent self-described her version as a "dirge."
It's certainly a lot darker and atmospheric that the upbeat, bubbly musical hug that is the original, but still a fascinating listen.
