In July, Stone Temple Pilots will celebrate 25 years of Tiny Music... Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop, and ahead of the expanded reissue's arrival, they have shared another rarity from the set.

Following an alternate version of "Big Bang Baby," STP have now revealed an early version of "Trippin' on a Hole in a Paper Heart." As drummer Eric Kretz shared with Stereogum, this particular version of one of the band's biggest hits marks Scott Weiland's first time tracking vocals for the song:

So usually we would have one or two songs per album where we would record the music and not have any vocal ideas to accompany us. With this Early version of "Trippin," Scott had the rhythm tracks to work off of and this was his first day at singing the song. I really enjoy hearing him trying to work out the tongue twisting verse lyrics that are such a great counter rhythm to the music in the verses.

Arriving July 23, the 25th anniversary reissue of Tiny Music... features a remastered version of the original album, alternate versions and previously unheard mixes, and a live concert recording from 1997.
