Har Mar Superstar Brings Out Julian Casablancas, Karen O for 'Best Summer Ever'

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Feb 18, 2016

Comically subversive pop twister Har Mar Superstar (a.k.a. Sean Tillman) has announced he's set to return with a new, Julian Casablancas-produced LP. An official due date has yet to arrive, but the singer-songwriter's Best Summer Ever will be issued through Casablancas' Cult Records later this year.

A press release notes that the record, Har Mar Superstar's first since the golden soul-styled Bye Bye 17 album from 2013, was put together by Tillman, with assistance from Chris Bierden, Ryan McMahon, Matt Sweeney and Ryan Olson.

Casablancas and Shawn Everett were apparently tapped for "conceptual input," while Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O added vocals to the album's "Haircut."

Below, you'll find the tracklisting info for Best Summer Ever, as well as a stream of the Casablancas-penned electro-pop number "Youth Without Love.

In related news, Tillman made an appearance on last night's (February 17) episode of Broad City, poking fun at ages old Grammy interrupter Michael "Soy Bomb" Portnoy.
