HÆLOS Sign to Matador for 'Earth Not Above' EP

BY Alex HudsonPublished May 12, 2015

On Facebook, British trio HÆLOS list their inception date as being just seven months ago. In that short time, they've already done very well for themselves, as they've now signed to Matador for a new EP.

The four-song collection is called Earth Not Above. It will be out digitally on June 1, with a subsequent vinyl release date still to be confirmed. A press release notes that the musicians have worked independently over the years before eventually joining together in London and citing inspirations like Massive Attack and Portishead.

Singer Arthur Delaney said in a statement, "I guess at the heart of it we are always trying to capture that feeling you get at 5AM. Jamming with your friends after a night out, treading that fine line between darkness and euphoria, fear and love."
