Halifax's In the Dead of Winter Festival Reveals 2017 Lineup

Winter in Halifax can be a scary thought, but In the Dead of Winter Festival is just heating up and giving East Coast music fans something to look forward to for the 12th year in a row.
 
Organizers have rolled out the initial lineup for the 2017 edition of the festival, which will run from January 19 to 22 between Timber Lounge, the Seahorse Tavern and Good Robot Brewing Company.
 
So far, the Wooden Sky, Justin Rutledge, Irish Mythen, Jennifer Castle, Jim Bryson, Dan Misha Goldman, Andrea Ramolo, Kurt Inder, Laurenn Marchand, Dylan Menzie, Villages, Julie Doiron, Loveland, Laura Jean Fraser, Daniel Walker, Megan Nash, LUKA and Nick Everett are slated to perform.
 
Tickets for the shows at Timber Lounge will cost $15 in advance ($20 at the door), while tickets at the Seahorse Tavern are going for $20 advance ($25 at the door). You can also pick up passes for the entire weekend at the early bird rate of $75, but act fast — they go up to $90 as of December 1. Tickets go on sale today (November 1) at 11:30 a.m. local time.
 
In addition to the nightly shows, the festival's kick-off party will take place on January 18 at Good Robot Brewing Company, and a special bluegrass brunch has been booked for January 21 at Seven Bays Bouldering Café.
