Hackers Tease New Music from Frank Ocean, SZA, Kendrick Lamar and André 3000

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Feb 5, 2019

Just over a week after Frank Ocean teased fans with a cover of SZA's "The Weekend," fans were lead to believe that a brand new original collaboration between Ocean, SZA, Kendrick Lamar and André 3000 was on the way. Unfortunately, it turns out the whole thing might be a hoax.

In a since disappeared Tumblr post, Ocean wrote, "MARCH 1ST..SOLANA + KL + ANDRE HERE FOR THE BEANS" — implying that a song by the four artists would be arriving on March 1, though the same Tumblr account later teased with "(2019)? (2019)? (2020)."

Despite the exciting hints at new music, though, Genius points out that Ocean's Tumblr was hacked, and continues to be getting hacked at press time.

The hackers have threatened to release the alleged star-studded collaborative track if this Instagram post gets 25,000 likes.

Further confusing matters, a new Instagram account by the name of here.for.the.beans — the same title teased in the hacked post — surfaced over the weekend, and it's already garnered a follow from Ocean's official Instagram.

Ocean has yet to clarify what is going on, but we'll know for sure when March 1 rolls around — or perhaps even sooner if the hackers follow through on their threat.
