Guns N' Roses' Cover of "Black Hole Sun" Is the Worst Karaoke You've Ever Seen

It's an oddly fitting video to cap off 2020

As part of their ongoing "Not in This Lifetime Selects" YouTube series, Guns N' Roses have shared some pro-shot footage of their Exit 111 festival performance in 2019. The five-song set includes covers of Bob Dylan, Wings — and a remarkably awful cover of Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun."

Rivalling the entire globe's weeknight karaoke renditions, the band have offered up possibly one of the worst-ever covers of the 1994 classic. The whole thing just begs to be transformed into its own "Shreds" video, but it's already 90 percent of the way there.

Performed live from the Manchester, TN site better known for its annual Bonnaroo festivities, the band open up the Exit 111 set with a cover of "Live and Let Die" (which, if we're being honest, isn't too great either), before heading into "Shadow of Your Love." The half-hour set also features a semi-tolerable version of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" and an obligatory performance of "Paradise City."

Watch the performance below (if you're into that kind of thing), and skip ahead to the 6-minute, 26-second mark to hear the band destroy "Black Hole Sun."
