Gucci Mane Dropping Mixtape Trilogy in August

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jul 16, 2013

Ever-prolific trap god Gucci Mane has already released his fair share of music this year, but the Atlanta rapper has now announced he's delivering the motherlode this August. Specifically, three full mixtapes are set to drop August 13 under the banner World War 3.

Titled Gas, Molly and Lean, the series of mixtapes were announced this week by Mane on his Twitter, where he revealed the cover art of each release as well. Each instalment finds the rapper paired up with a different producer, with Molly's beats delivered by Metro Boomin, Gas's handled by TM88 and Lean's by Zaytoven.

Also being released on August 13 is a mixtape from Gucci Mane collaborator Peewee Longway, titled Running Around the Lobby.

Tracklistings have not yet appeared for any of the releases, but it's conceivable, though obviously not confirmed, that Gucci's previously reported rocker "Fancy Bitch" collab with shock-rocker Marilyn Manson could pop up in there somewhere.

Despite the ambitious reveal, this is not the first time the rapper has released multiple freeleases on the same day. Back in 2009, he issued a trio of tapes as part of the Cold War series.

If you've been paying attention, since the start of 2013, Gucci Mane has released the Trap House 3 LP, as well as the following mixtapes: Trap Back 2, EastAtlantaMemphis, Trap God 2, Free Bricks 2, and Money Pounds, Ammunition.
