More than three years removed from releasing their debut LP The Chase, Montreal indie outfit Groenland are set to return with their sophomore studio effort. Titled A Wider Space, the record will arrive this September through Bonsound.
Produced by Marcus Paquin (Local Natives, Arcade Fire, the National, Hey Rosetta!), A Wider Space is "filled with the lush string arrangements the group has become known for, yet also makes room for electronic touches and brass," according to a press release. A video teaser with an excerpt of the title track can be found below.
Along with news of the record, the band have also lined up a lengthy tour through Canada. Kicking off on August 13 in Béthanie, QC, the trek will see them tour the West Coast in the fall before sticking to Ontario and their home province from late September clean through until the new year.
