Coming off her recent Coachella set and performances for the BBC, Canadian electro-pop twister Grimes hit the Beats 1 studio today (April 21) to deliver a new 40-minute mix meshing exclusive cuts with a few of her favourite tracks.

The Apple Music-backed meet-up had Grimes speaking with DJ Zane Lowe about a number of things, from bringing Janelle Monáe onstage during last weekend's Coachella festival, to making "California" a "dancehall country song," and comparing her Art Angels to Smashing Pumpkins' 1995 release, Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.

As for her mix, the 40-minute set includes Chairlift's "Ch-Ching," Perfume Genius' "Fool," and a previously unreleased, untitled single from Taiwanese rapper Aristophanes, with whom Grimes collaborated on Art Angels single "Scream." Interestingly enough, the Aristophanes track was produced by Arcade Fire's Will Butler.

You can listen to the full mix here, while you'll find players for Grimes' talk with Lowe and the Aristophanes track down below.
