Greta Van Fleet Go to Rock'n'Roll Heaven in Dreamy "Heat Above" Video

The song appears on the band's album 'The Battle at Garden's Gate'

Greta Van Fleet have spent enough time being a music biz punchline that it's only fair we give them a fair shake. The little rockers that could are about to deliver another batch of classic uncle rock with their new album The Battle at Garden's Gate, but first they've treated epic opener "Heat Above" to a new music video.

Lest you thought they weren't really giving it their all, the video for "Heat Above" ramps things up drastically. There's some of the Lemon Twigs' self-aware vintage film grain, to be honest, but also plenty of ridiculous and extraneous rock posturing. And it all takes place on a soft-focus, glisteningly white set that looks like Albert Brooks' Defending Your Life.

Yes, there's a part where one of the boys hits timpani with roses as drumsticks while wearing a shiny diamond necklace as a hat. It's that absurd, but you know what? Greta Van Fleet just might pull it off.

The Battle at Garden's Gate will arrive on April 16 via Lava/Republic Records.
