Watch Damon Albarn and Noel Gallagher Join Forces for Gorillaz Session

"Of course, no one's asked Liam what he thinks about the song yet"

With Oasis and Blur's Britpop-era feud well in the past, Damon Albarn invited Noel Gallagher to work on his latest Gorillaz album, Humanz. Now, footage of the pair working together in the studio has surfaced.

Gorillaz have shared a behind-the-scenes clip on Instagram, documenting their creative collaboration on "We Got the Power." The track (more prominently) also features vocals from Savages' Jehnny Beth.

And while Albarn and the elder Gallagher brother seem to have buried the hatchet, there's always a chance that Liam Gallagher might feel a bit less kindly towards the past rivalry.

"Of course, no one's asked Liam what he thinks about the song yet," Albarn recently told Vulture. "No doubt he'd have a fantastic one-liner about what a bunch of fucking knobheads we are."

In classic form, Noel added: "Listen, nobody gives a fuck what Liam thinks about anything."

Watch the freshly unearthed footage from the recording of "We Got the Power" down below, followed by the previously released final version of said track.

Humanz is out tomorrow (April 28) via Parlophone. You can read more about the album's collaboration process in Exclaim!'s recent interview with Albarn over here, as well as the group's plan for a new animated TV series over here.
