Marking their eighth episode in this year's Song Machine series, Gorillaz have teamed up with Beck for a new video to accompany their song "The Valley of the Pagans."
The clip sees 2D, Murdoc, Noodle and Russel joyriding and ramming motorists around the streets of L.A. in scenes ripped straight from Grand Theft Auto 5. In the midst of the carnage, the cartoon crew manage to get Beck — decked out in extremely cool-guy white sunglasses — on a video call in time for him to sing his verses on the track.
Song Machine: Season One — Strange Timez arrived on October 23 via Warner and also featured the previously released seven songs in the series (which saw contributions by Elton John, 6LACK, ScHoolboy Q, Octavian, New Order's Peter Hook, Fatoumata Diawara, slowthai and Slaves), as well as tracks with Leee John, Kano and Roxani Arias.
Last week, Damon Albarn confirmed that Season 2 of Song Machine will be on its way eventually, as well as some "kind of abstract" Gorillaz film.
