Go Getters (ft. Kanye West)

World Record Holders

BY Josiah HughesPublished Jul 9, 2010

Before he was a chart-topping, meme-starting, egomaniacal monster, Kanye West was another Chicago rapper trying to make it big. Legend has it Ye was part of a larger Chi-town conglomerate called Kon-Man Productions, which also counted GLC and Rhymefest alongside numerous other producers and rappers.

Within Kon-Man Productions, Kanye and GLC teamed up to form the Go Getters. The band recorded some songs and took promotional photos, but never released a proper album. Ten years ago, however, a record was released called World Record Holders, which featured much of the Go Getters' lost material.

Now, thanks to the powers of the almighty interweb, you can listen to said record online and hear young Ye in action. Just head here to download the album courtesy of Xclusiveszone.
