Despite the fact that San Francisco, CA-based duo Girls had one of the most critically acclaimed albums of last year with Album, they're still very difficult to Google. Besides their band name being one of the most common words in the English language, they exist in an enormous sea of bands with "Girls" in their moniker. Fortunately, they've decided to get word out the old-fashioned way with an enormous world tour.
First, the band will join like-minded jangle pop enthusiasts Magic Kids and Smith Westerns for a decidedly non-Canadian tour, with shows throughout the United States. Then, they'll hop the pond for a month-long European jaunt.
Once they return to North America, they'll double their Girl power by teaming up with recent Sub Pop signees Dum Dum Girls, who open for the group in Toronto. After that, Girls will close out the tour with a pair of headlining shows in Vancouver.
