Ginger Taylor is back with her second single of the year. The Toronto-by-way-of-New York artist has shared "Arcadia" along with a music video.
A soft, acoustic-led track, "Arcadia" details a first crush that helps its narrator discover her sexuality. "I think 'Arcadia' is a love song that doesn't know what love is yet. I wrote it about my high-school crush (hey, Ms. J!), trying to capture the confused sincerity of a teenage obsession," Taylor says of the track. "Confusion actually played a big part in writing the song — in remembering a woman who was obviously very special to me, I needed to face years of thoughts and desires I had previously spent trying to ignore."
"Arcadia" follows February's single "Starfucker," and will be featured on Taylor's upcoming EP.
